Our last bulletin highlighted the 8th CAP Member Survey – Culture of Savers, Rethinking retirement savings decisions which reported that plan members want employers to continue providing financial planning advice to plan members as they feel overwhelmed when it comes to their finances.
It is important to understand the relationship between an employee’s financial stress and their productivity. As an organization you can provide assistance for employees by offering:
- An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with a strong financial counselling component
- Wellness sessions related to financial health
- Pre-retirement plan/lifestyle transition workshops
- Access to individual financial advice
Beginning in April, we will provide financial literacy posters you can post in your organization to help with your employees’ financial well-being. April’s poster focuses on Money Management.
