The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care have announced changes to OHIP+ coverage for children and youth, aged 24 years and under, effective April 1, 2019. The change affects OHIP-insured children and youth aged 24 and under who have coverage through a private plan.

  • Children with private coverage will no longer be eligible for OHIP+ and will access prescribed medicines through the private plan
  • Children who do not have coverage through a private plan will remain eligible for OHIP+ without co-payments or deductibles

Visit the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care website for more details about the changes and about OHIP+.
