Clean Air Day – June 4th

June 4th is Clean Air Day - a day organizers urge Canadians to walk, bus, or bike to work or school instead of using a vehicle. Take part in celebrating environmentally friendly activities that promote clean air and good health across Canada.  This will not only improve the health of our environment, it will improve individual health and well-being.  For example, utilizing public transportation can cut down on pollution levels and help improve the quality of our air.

There are many ways to encourage people to get involved with this celebration.  Check out these websites for more information and event ideas.

Instead of celebrating Clean Air Day once a year, try to incorporate clean air activities into everyday life such as walking or biking more often. Clean air benefits us all!
