The success of Cowan's EARS program is a result of the constructive, pro-active and positive partnership we manage between the employer, employee, union representative and the disability insurer.

The goal is to establish a return-to-work strategy specific to the employee. Barriers are explored early in the process. The focus is on maximizing the skills and capabilities of the employee and initiating a return to work when their condition allows.

What We Offer

At Cowan, we offer a variety of services and tools to help with this process, such as:

• Facilitating appointments for tests or specialists
• Providing advice on alternative sources for assessment and treatment
• Access to a wide network of preferred healthcare professionals
• Facilitating an earlier return-to-work
• Supporting and following-up during the return-to-work process
• Co-ordinating benefits from all sources
• Optimizing the flow of communication between the disability insurers and the employer by assuring that the provided documentation is complete and accurate
